What's Your GPS?

When I look back over my life, I can see where I’ve missed out on some God-given opportunities. Maybe you are saying the same thing to yourself. If so, I want to encourage you or draw your attention elsewhere: Don’t live in regret. Don’t let lost opportunities make you feel disappointed and discouraged. You see Allah is bigger than your lost opportunities. He can still get you where you need to go in life.

Think about it...we’ve all used the GPS directional systems in your car or iPhone. You set the location where you want to go, and the GPS calculates the best route for you. You can be driving along and get distracted and completely miss the street where the GPS instructed you to turn, but that doesn’t mean you’ll never reach your destination. That GPS system will instantly recalculate the route, based on your present location. And Allah works in a similar way. He is constantly giving you and me direction, speaking to our hearts, leading us by granting peace or unrest in our spirit, but even when we miss Allah’s instructions—and we all do from time to time—He will recalculate our route and get us back where we need to be.

But you see in order to hear out what Allah is saying by being in a state of contentment, gratefulness, and pure joy of where we are in life...we must develop the belief of pure Tawakul. Tawakul is blind faith that you will arrive. Despite the fear, anxiety, or worry you may feel...developing the belief of pure Twakul you know you will arrive, and arrive well!

Something else to think about... while the ultimate destination is JENNA right,  we must be mindful and plan our mini destinations here on earth that will lead up to the end goal. So every destination here on earth, the coffee shop you stopped at, visiting a sick friend, cooking a meal for someone in need, volunteering your time for a worthy cause. Start thinking of these mini destinations building the ultimate destination with is Jennah.

So today I challenge you to leave regret in the past where it belongs and be in the present to get to where you want to go.

Today I challenge you to instantly recalculate your route, based on your present location, and ask yourself, “will my destination I am heading to contribute to building my life after?” If not, time to sit down and reroute your attention to something more nobel and worth your attention!

Today I challenge you to keep your eye on the goal your GPS to  Jennah and do not despair or worried, because you will arrive and you will arrive well.

Inshallah I’ll see you in Jennah. :)
